Senator Patrick Leahy, who has endorsed fellow Senator Barack Obama, called for Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton to drop out of the presidential race in a radio interview today.
Talking on Vermont Public Radio, Mr. Leahy said: "There is no way that Senator Clinton is going to win enough delegates to get the nomination. She ought to withdraw and she ought to be backing Senator Obama. Now, obviously that's a decision that only she can make. Frankly, I feel that she would have a tremendous career in the Senate."
This was a fantastic find Nickwax and well worth getting coverage. I'll clip it a bit and see what growth we can encourage for the heave ho, dump her and go spirit! *smirk*.

You can't 'dump her'.
I don't know how many times you people have to be told the lady isn't quitting.
I know she's never quitting, we didn't want her in NYC and got her anyway, money and powerful friends can buy a lot of things. It's just not getting the White House this time.
Hillary Clinton is not interested in a career in the Senate. She wants to be President and if she is not the Nominee she will destroy her opponent. It is clear by her actions, that she will do everything possible to damage Obama's credibility, so that the Republicans will win. Her career in the Senate was to prepare the way for this run. This was the Clinton's Plan. Bill for 8 years, the Republicans for 8 years and then with a string of Democratic defeats(Gore and Kerry),It will be Hillary's turn. The Clintons never viewed Obama as a real challenge.Their intelligence on his political capacity, his campaign organization, and his support in the Party were underrated and not properly assessed. His ability to inspire and motivate voters was underestimated. As a result, they were outmanoeuvred and caught in the dumps. Their last position to getting the nomination is to politically bloody and discredit Obama. Then win big in the remaining primaries to get close Obama in P. Delegates. Further get the majority delegates at the Convention from the Florida and Mi "beauty contest" primaries and get closer yet to Obama. Then convince the Party that a bloodied and discredited Obama is a loser to Mc Cain. Even if the S. Delegates still chooses Obama, their Plan B is the damage the Clintons have done to him. This damage will see the Democrats losing. With 4 more years of Bush and healing within the Democratic Party, the way will be cleared for a massive Hillary win in 2012. This scenario is not difficult to identify. The question is will the Democratic Party members and the American voters allow the Clintons to play them for suckers. The Leadership of the Democrats know the Clintons and know their capacity to do anything for power and to achieve their objectives at any cost. That is why they seek to end the contest now, so that they can correct the wrongs done to their party image by the Clintons.

There are plenty of Democrats who have helped ruin the party. The spinelessness and corruption are bipartisan and hardly limited to the GoP or the Clintons. Too many are on the corporate dole with greed as a shared party value.
